Goldcrest has tackled this dilemma with SplashLive, a toolset they developed for creating and converting content to 3D without the need for glasses.

Wuthering Heights – a re-recording mixer’s dream job

Goldcrest’s Jamie Roden had the opportunity to work together with Tom Johnson as re-recording mixers on Andrea Arnold’s highly acclaimed raw and windblown film adaptation of Emily Bronte’s ‘Wuthering Heights’. The film was one of three British films to blow away audiences at the Venice Film Festival.

Simon Ray now Head of Engineering and Operations at Goldcrest Post London

Simon Ray has been appointed Head of Engineering and Operations at Goldcrest Post London. Simon spent 5 years at Strongroom , 5 years at The Pavement and has been Head of Engineering at Goldcrest since July 2009. He was the main engineering designer for the two new theatres at Lexington St last year, and is now moving into a more operational technical role.
 

Goldcrest launches new Foley studio

One year on since Adrian Rhodes joined Goldcrest Post to set up a sound design department, the team have created an in-house Foley studio with legendary Foley mixer Paul Carr emerging from retirement to consult on the project and manage the first recordings. Now able to offer a wide range of Foley services, the new studio has already been put to work on an upcoming animated feature film and the first 6 episodes of the Kudos TV series, “Eternal Law”, which is currently being mixed by Adrian Rhodes.
 

Goldcrest Post Number 1 for Audio in Televisual’s Top 50

Goldcrest Post was proud to be awarded joint 1st place with De Lane Lea in the Audio-only sub category in Televisual Magazine’s annual Top 50 Facilities Survey. This is a significant recognition for its increased turnover, growth, and talent over the past years.

Rebecca Adams appointed Sales Manager at Goldcrest Post London

Congratulations to Rebecca Adams for her recent promotion from Facilities Manager to Sales Manager. Having started on reception in 2008 before quickly moving on to Client Services Manager, Adams joined Goldcrest’s Bookings department last year whilst continuing to cover all premises and Avid cutting rooms.
