Goldcrest Post London

Having worked on so many of this years top BAFTA nominated titles over what has been the company's busiest year ever, the team eagerly awaits the awards to toast the success of its clients and Goldcrest's contributions to the films.

Goldcrest Post was proud to be awarded joint 1st place with De Lane Lea in the Audio-only sub category in Televisual Magazine’s annual Top 50 Facilities Survey. This is a significant recognition for its increased turnover, growth, and talent over the past years.

Goldcrest Mixer, Mark Paterson, had the opportunity to work on, ‘Acts of Godfrey’, the first UK film written entirely in rhyming couplets – the poetic style made popular by Shakespeare. The film marked scriptwriter/director’s Johnny Daukes’ debut and premiered at the Raindance Film Festival in London on 30th September. This hilariously clever black comedy started off as a poem written in a Glasgow bar in 2006 and suffered its fair share of setbacks as it sought funding --understandably a bit of a challenge given its incredibly unique script.

Director Joe Cornish took the time to congratulate Mark Paterson and Goldcrest on a job well done.

“To everyone at Goldcrest, you got Bare Skills for Soundz. Thanks for your amazing work."

Goldcrest Post London was launched in 1992 and is located across two sites in the heart of Soho. One of the UKs largest facilities, Goldcrest Post meets the exacting standards of feature film, broadcast television and all multimedia applications.

The London operation comprises five dubbing theatres, a quality control-deliveries-transfer suite, 50 cutting rooms and 10 fully equipped HD/SD off-line edit suites.

Four of the dubbing theatres are Dolby approved, and range in size from 200sq ft to 1,200sq ft. Goldcrest Post has a prestigious list of movie credits, including Pirates of the Carribean, Revolutionary Road, Vantage Point, Hellboy 2, In Bruges, Quantum of Solace, The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus and Fantastic Mr. Fox. Television credits include the three series of The Tudors, The No.1 Ladies' Detective Agency, An Englishman in New York, and Cranford. In addition to ADR, mixing and sound services, Goldcrest Post continues to be London’s major supplier of cutting rooms and production offices to high profile mainstream studio features in production in the UK.

Additional client services include the supply of a wide range of audio and video equipment for use in the Goldcrest premises, or on location, and we also provide full sound design, editing and mixing packages with a complete range of delivery services to complete a project.

Our investment in The Pavement in 2009 has enabled us to offer an additional range of new media services including Blu-Ray and DVD authoring and design and iPhone app development.
